7 Natural Ways to Grow Your Hair Fast

Discovering how to make your hair grow faster can be difficult, especially if you want to go the natural way. I know that when I cut all of my hair off (it was down to the middle of my back and I went up to just above my shoulders), I was devastated. I liked it for a week, but after that, I wanted my hair back. Learning how to make your hair grow faster naturally is easy, you just have to know the right methods! And I am going to give you 7 super tips on how to return to thick, luscious, long locks!

1. Castor oil

Being rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, especially omega-9 fatty acids, castor oil promotes hair growth naturally. As this oil is quite viscous, mix the castor oil with an equal amount of coconut, olive, or almond oil. Massage your scalp with it and leave it on for 30 to 45 minutes. Then shampoo your hair. You can also add essential oils, especially rosemary, peppermint, eucalyptus, lavender, or thyme oil, to the castor oil and then put it in your hair.

2. Scalp massage

Massaging promotes blood flow to the scalp, which in turn stimulates the hair follicles. In addition, deep condition your hair once a week with a hot oil treatment or deep conditioning hair mask. Apply the oil (preferably warm) or conditioner to your hair. Gently rub your fingers on your scalp in a circular motion for three to five minutes. Rinse the oil or conditioner out of your hair.

3. Stress-free

Stress is one of the most important factors that contribute to hair loss. It is believed that stress can disrupt the normal hair cycle and trigger hairs to enter the telogen or fall-out phase. Thus, when striving for faster hair growth, minimize the stress in your life. To manage stress, you can use meditation, breathing exercises, or other relaxation techniques. Plus, be sure to get your beauty sleep as the growth hormone is released during sleep.

4. Vitamins and herbal supplements

In addition to eating a proper diet, you can take supplements like folic acid, biotin, kelp, fish oil, flaxseed oil, evening primrose oil, ginseng, ginkgo biloba, saw palmetto, and others to augment hair growth. Folic acid and biotin are B-complex vitamins (vitamin B9 and B7 respectively) that aid faster growth of hair. Before taking any supplements, though, make sure you consult your doctor.

5. Aloe Vera

Aloe vera encourages hair growth and prevents hair loss. It also reduces dandruff and helps restore your hair’s natural sheen. Apply fresh aloe vera gel mixed with a little lemon juice and leave it on for about 20 minutes. Shampoo your hair. Do this once every week or two. You can also combine aloe vera gel with equal amounts of coconut milk and wheat germ oil and then apply it on your hair. Drink aloe vera juice on a regular basis.

6. Egg white

A lot of people believe that this tip concerning how to make your hair grow faster doesn't work well, but egg whites have been known for their healing properties and their ability to replenish hair and restore its softness and shine! Just crack open a few eggs, strain out the yolks, and make an egg white mask for your hair. Your hair will look ten times healthier instantly and will feel a lot stronger as well -- which, ultimately, will allow your hair to grow faster!

7. Drink water

Water helps the body to process and flush out toxins faster, which makes it a quick and easy natural method that will make your hair #grow a lot faster. If you drink about 8 cups of water a day, not only will your #body feel better, but your hair will get stronger. The stronger the hair, the faster that it grows. Drinking water also keeps your hair hydrated from the inside out. Hydrated hair is happy hair because, when dry, your #hair is much more likely to break.

7 Natural remedies to get rid of acne and pimples

Pimples. Acne. Zits. Bumps. Spots. Whatever you want to call them, they are annoying, and chances are, they will happen at the most inopportune time. You might think that once you pass puberty, you’re in the clear as far as blemishes are concerned, but that is not always the case.

7 Natural remedies to get rid of acne and pimples

1. Ice

Ice can be used to quickly reduce the redness, swelling and inflammation of pimples. It helps in improving blood circulation to the affected area, and in tightening the skin pores and removing dirt and oil accumulated on the skin. You can use ice cubes or crushed ice, whichever is convenient.

2. Lemon juice

The natural astringent and antibacterial properties of lemon juice are great for clearing up skin. To get the best results, just apply the lemon juice directly to the skin and leave it for up to an hour.

3. Toothpaste

The toothpaste that you use every morning to clean your teeth also can be used to treat pimples quickly. It is most effective when used following the ice remedy. You must use white toothpaste; avoid using gel toothpaste.

4. Egg white

The protein rich egg whites may save your day in case you apply it before going to bed. Take an egg and separate the yolk by moving it back and forth between the two halves of the shell. The whites will be collected in the bowl and the yolk will stay back in the shell half. Apply the egg whites on the pimples using your fingers. Leave it to dry and stay overnight. Wash your face with warm water in the morning to get pimples-free face.

5. Steam

Steaming is magnificent for your skin and will become more effective, in case you have pimples. Steaming will help your skin breathe by opening your skin pores. This helps dispose of oils, dirt and bacteria trapped in the pores that can cause infection or inflammation.

6. Apple cider vinegar

Sort of along the same lines as lemon juice, apple cider vinegar has the same antibacterial properties, as well as antifungal properties as well. Apple cider vinegar is very powerful though, so you might want to dilute it when you use it, at least at first. Just apply a small amount to your skin, but make sure that you choose pure, undiluted vinegar for best results.

7. Garlic

Isn’t garlic great for everything? Not only does garlic have a ton of antibacterial properties when you eat it, it also has great effects when applied directly to the skin. To use, just thinly slice a clove of garlic. Rub the garlic clove and the juice of the garlic onto your skin, paying close attention to problem areas, and leave on for up to 30 minutes.

How to Fight Acne Forever With Oil Cleansing Method

A clean, bright and acne/blackheads free skin is the elusive goal of any woman -Man also- looking to get a prettier face. It happens that there are many methods which can allow you this, but each one with advantages and drawbacks.
As health enthusiasts, we keep looking for the most natural and effective methods to enhance our lives and the life of our beloved ones. As a matter of fact we decided to dive into the sea of oil cleansing which will help you get the skin you always wanted.
Source : http://biohealthyliving.com

People are often skeptical to try this natural solution at the beginning, since the idea of putting oil to clean the skin – which may be already oily – is a bit weird. but let me say that it works very effectively, here is why:

WHAT IS OIL CLEANSING?

The basic concept of oil cleansing refers to using a combination of specific oils to naturally balance the skin’s oils. This will help you get a much more moisturized and clean skin, which is better than using commercial products that may harm your skin in a way or another. This notion is so simple as quoted from www.theoilcleansingmethod.com:
“The basic concept of this skin care and cleansing method is that the oil used to massage your skin will dissolve the oil that has hardened with impurities and found itself stuck in your pores. The steam will open your pores, allowing the oil to be easily removed. Should you need it, the smallest drop of the same oil formula patted over damp skin will provide the necessary lubrication to keep your skin from over-compensating in oil production”

WHY USING OIL?

People tend to forget one important rule of chemistry, which is “like dissolves like” and this means that the used oil will help to balance oil levels on your skin by dissolving and breaking it down.
Using oil as beauty ally has been a tradition for thousands of years. Many civilizations used it for its great benefits. So don’t be afraid of using oil on your face. The natural oils will not bring you acne, blackheads or Pimples. These are the result of many different factors such as : hormones and bacteria. Your skin naturally benefits from the oil produced by your body. Therefore having an oily skin is not something unnatural. Oil is also needed to allow your largest organ to function properly.
Applying natural oils to balance the oil production of your body will not only clean your skin but will also help lubricate, moisturize, heal and protect it so that it can function properly. And that means beautiful, clear and glowing.

HOW TO PICK THE RIGHT OIL?

In general any natural oils can work fine. Yet most people prefer using Castor oil, since it has strong anti-inflammatory properties, but can also heal and cleanse, which is the main reason why natural beauty experts suggest it for the oil cleansing method. Another reason why Castor oil is very used is because it is naturally astringent so it will pull impurities effectively from your skin, which makes it perfect for oily and even dry skin.
Since Castor oil has very potent cleansing properties, using it alone may leave you with dry skin. To avoid this , we need to dilute it with another oil, which must be thinner in consistency, but not less nutrient to the skin. Olive oil is my personal choice, since I have it all the time at home. But some people prefer using Sunflower Seed or safflower oil.
If you can’t use Castor oil as a primary oil for any reason, you can use hazelnut oil. Extra-virgin coconut oil also works fine.
Here is some suggestions for making your blend (I’m choosing Castor and olive oil as an example):

  • Oily Skin: Try a blend of 30% Castor Oil to 70% Sunflower Seed Oil.
  • Balanced Skin: Try a blend of 20% Castor Oil to 80% Sunflower Seed Oil.
  • Dry Skin: Try a blend of 10% Castor Oil to 90% Sunflower Seed Oil.

THE OIL CLEANSING METHOD

To explain the method, there is nothing better than a video. Here is a tutorial by Kendra Atkins showing how to cleanse your skin with oil:

So this is it! After reading the article are you still afraid of oil cleansing? if you do and you are still hesitant, we would love to learn about your concerns.

4 Natural Treatments for Back Acne

Back acne, sometimes conveniently called bacne, is one of the most inconvenient things to suffer from. And if you have facial acne, you are more prone to have back acne too. When your back’s overactive oil glands (sebaceous glands) get clogged by excessive dead skin cells or sebum (oil), it gives rise to bacteria that cause acne on your back.

So what gives? Why do I only get body acne in the summer? "During the summer, your body produces more oil and you sweat more, so when you combine oil and sweat, well, you get acne. Then there's sunscreen. Sunscreen is great, and it is nonnegotiable in the summer, but it can cause breakouts, especially since you're wearing more of it. You're not alone, though. I definitely see a lot more patients for body acne during the summer months."

Is it the same as the acne on my face? "The breakouts on your chest and back tend to be a little different than the acne on your face. They're technically called folliculitis, which is when the hair follicle becomes infected. However, it looks the same as facial acne and can be treated with the same products and ingredients. In some cases, it can actually be rosacea triggered by coffee or dairy, but it isn't that common on the chest and back."

Natural Ways to Get Rid of Back Acne

1. Epsom Salt also Cures Back Acne
If you find sea salt expensive or not effective for your back acne, you may try Epsom salt which is comparatively inexpensive remedy for bacne. Epsom salt is the common name of the natural mineral compound, magnesium sulfate. The anti-inflammatory magnesium can be well absorbed by skin and give relief from redness, irritation and itchy skin. It also activates enzymes to help regulate various nutrients vital for the health of skin such as zinc, potassium and vitamin D. It helps flush out toxins apart from helping in proper absorption of nutrients.

2. Oatmeal Bath for Back Acne
Oatmeal is one ingredient which is beneficial for almost all types of skin, dry or oily and even aging skin. It works for acne prone skin by soaking up the excessive sebum oil. It also gently exfoliates your skin to clean off the dirt and open the skin pores. When oil is removed and dead skin too, your skin gets rejuvenated along with a moisturizing effect. Oatmeal bath will not only eliminate back acne but will also get you rid of bacne scars! Here’s how to get soothing oatmeal bath for acne on your back.

3. Apple Cider Vinegar for Back Acne Remedy
Apple cider vinegar (ACV), as you might know, is a marvelous ingredient for your body. It may also help you get rid of bacne. ACV does it by balancing the pH of your body which naturally eliminates the acne breakouts. Because Apple cider vinegar is also an effective antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent, it is counted amongst one of the best remedies for acne as a whole and not only for back acne. Nothing like when you drink 1-2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar mixed in 1 glass of water, daily. However, you can even make a toner with ACV to apply it topically on your back acne.

4. Tea Tree Oil Remedy for Back Acne
Tea tree oil, derived from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia of Australia, has anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties. Terpinen-4-ol compound in tea tree oil gives it it’s antimicrobial properties. The anti-bacteria effect of tea tree oil eliminate the bacteria Propionibacterium acnes which is responsible for the development of acne.
